The End of An Era!

Yesterday was bitter sweet for me. I said goodbye to an old friend that has traveled many miles with me. So I am here to spill my guts to all of you. Yesterday I said goodbye to Floyd the red pickup. Yes I know it is a bit surprising to everyone. I have been thinking about selling Floyd for quite sometime, but I have just never gotten around to it. So last weekend I was seriously thinking about it so I called my Mom, to see if I should or shouldn't talk to my Grandparents about it. Mom said to wait until Monday or Tuesday. So on Sunday the more I thought about it the more I felt it way heavy on my heart that I should just give my Grandparents the pickup. They wanted to get it for my Uncle Ootl. So I called Mom back and said Hey if Mama and Dad want the pickup tell them that it is theirs. And Mom said if she could work it into a conversation then she would. She is really good about that. So anyways, Mama and Dad did want the pickup so the original plan was for me to bring it to them when we moved Ootl. The new plan was Dad and Ootl, and Bebo came yesterday to get Floyd and drive it back to C-town. The garage looks empty, but I know that it is at a better home where it will actually be driven more than it was here. So that is my story...We shall all have a moment of silence for Floyd's leaving.

Conversation from this morning

Gomer finally wakes up at 7:15. I have been awake since 5:30 when the last train went through.
Me...Lets go garage selling.
Gomer...We don't have a boat.
Me...But we have a Garage.
Gomer...You have to sell Floyd (little red pickup) if you want a boat.
Me...We can't afford a boat.
Gomer...Then why do you want to go get one.
Me...Oh wait I don't have any money even though yesterday was payday, cause we paid our bills.
Gomer...Then why do you want to go.
Me...Oh wait I have $3.00
Gomer...Yeah and?
Me...That is a fortune in garage sale money.
Gomer...Fine lets go.
I am just waiting on him to feed and water the animals and we are off to go buy treasures that other people are going ot throw in the trash if I don't buy them.

9 and Counting

~Update~
I have gained back one and a quarter pounds because I felt the need to eat a waffle, three pieces of pizza, and about 5,000,000 cinnamon sticks. And then today my boss wanted to take Lydi ( I know i am short one letter, but I call her Lydi) and how do you say no I can't I am on a diet when it is your boss? You can't! So I proabably gained all of my weight back, but tomorrow is a new day and the same diet. I will be back on it, and I plan to be in the 10-15 pounds smaller range by the time for Gomer's family reunions.
Ok everyone. I have been on a diet for the last week and three days. So far I have lost 9 pounds. How great is that? I am really excited. So excited that I tried on my wedding dress and guess what?!?! THE DAMN THING WON'T FIT!!! I apparently have gained a lot of weight since I purchased said dress. So I am taking off the weight and y'all are going to hold me accountable. I am going to do a weekly post of how I am doing. (~hidden motive~ I have some REALLY cute pants that I want to wear, but I can't get my big butt in them.) So anyways, stay tuned for updates! They shall be just as exciting as this one!

He's Just so Talented

Just wanted to post a pic of my super talented dog Patrick. I have been thinking that he is depressed because he hasn't gotten to come inside and stay in the new house. So I brought him in this afternoon and what do you know he started doing his impersonation of Elvis. After this picture he girated his hips and said "uuuhhhhhhuuuu". I was impressed, but I don't have a video camera so I was not able to get all of that on film. Just wanted to share this with y'all.

Waiting waiting waiting!

Seems like I am always waiting on something or someone. I am currently trying to put somethings on e-bay, but e-bay says that someone may have accessed my account and placed ads online that I did not authorize. I promise you e-bay...no one accessed my account. So I am waiting on an e-bay representative to come onto this live chat that I had to enter to get my account going again. Ok I just talked to Margot (Its a French way of spelling Margo), and everything is back on schedule, and good to go. Work is going really well, this last week was my first real week to be there by myself. It was pretty much just how I remember it, but only this time I am the boss. How crazy is that? It is hotter that the gate posts of hell in the house today, and we had to make a flying trip to T-town, because we blew a fuse and the power went off. (imagine my happieness about that). Not a bad trip to T-town though. We went to the farm and saw the wheat that we are going to take a picture with, just as soon as we get a free moment. And now is no exception for free moments, since my accoutn is open on e-bay I have to go. Kisses!
