A Glimpse Into My World

This weekend

Well, it has been a pretty interesting weekend. On Friday evening I went in for my colonoscopy, and the actual procedure wasn't that bad...of course I also told the lovely people at BSA hospital that I wanted to be an inactive participant in this whole ordeal. They gladly complied. It turns out that not that much is wrong, so there is good news. So My Mom came and stayed the weekend with me, and we had a great time. She got up on Saturday and cleaned my house. She says she didn't but folks I am telling you...it hasn't looked this good since I moved in. Ok, not the back bedroom, but the rest of the house. Then we did some crafts...as most of you know my Mom is the crafter, not I. But none the less she let me help. We made the totally awesome things for Baby Brother and Tybo, but I can't tell you what it is because they both read my blog I am pretty sure and we are also going to make Biker one and I don't want him to know about it. but trust me they are freaking cool. Then we went and ate dinner with Dad and Baby Brother, and then came home. Mom had started making bread before we left, and had set it aside in a container with a lid to rise while we were gone to dinner...in theory this was a good idea. When we got home there was so much gas in the container that the lid would not come off. WTF. So we tried everything. We tried prying it off, we tried pulling it off, and eventually I got the bright idea to hit it. Y'all I would like to reiterate here that I have a master's degree...this was not my most shining moment. Well I hit the top of the container and nothing happened. Oh well...so I was walking back towards the bathroom and the damn thing blew. And I mean blew. The top came flying off, it landed in the sink, nearly putting out Mom's eye...its a good thing she has on those Modern Forbidden glasses or all would have been lost. The dough came flying up still in the container and landed on its side...quit an amazing thing if you have never seen it before. I was very impressed...I think Mom was too. Then we made sausage wraps and hot rolls. Dang it they were good. And that was Saturday...it was a great day.
Not much happened today, we went and cleaned the office, and then Mom Gator had to go home. So I did the rest of the stuff that she asked me to do and I have just been hanging out here at the house. It was a pretty cool weekend and I just wanted everyone else to know about it.

The only thing that I really had a problem with was the pills that you have to take before you drink the stuff. Those kinds of pills should be banned in all countries, except Mexico of course. I thought I was going to die. The rest of it wasn't that bad. Not eating...now...that was also not cool, but I got through it.

Been there, done that with the colonoscopy thing. You are correct, the prep is the worst part. Except my hospital did not knock me out.
You are extreamly lucky to have a Mama like yours!
Glad all is well.
