The New Addition

That is right everyone there is a new addition to our home. Her name is Dixie Belle. She is a full blooded basset hound puppy, that I found on the road. The vet says she was 7 weeks old when I found her last week. At first I was "looking" for her real family, but now me, Gomer, Patrick, Daisy, Milk, Cookies, and Peter the Gold Fish are her real family. So here are a could of pics of her just after her second bath ever, isn't she just so sad looking? She is just a sweetheart and a half, how can you not just fall in love with this face???

A little closer

So I have been really busy baking cookies all morning. Here is a little bit of the process that I went through. First i got my dough out of the mixing bowl, and rolled it out and cut the shapes with my cookies cutters that I got for my Birthday from M2 and Mom Gator. Then I put them on the pan wait 7 minutes and viola you have super cute really good sugar cookies. During the time since my first post I have made 5 dozen cookies and done three loads of laundry. I have a very small space to work with right now because the rest of the cabinets are covered in seeds that have been started for the garden. I would have been working on tilling up the garden today, but it is to cold and we haven't gotten a hold of the guy with the rototiller.

Bake Fest 2007

Welcome everyone to Bake Fest 2007. This is the show where I Baby Gator am going to keep you up to date on what I am doing today...which is baking. We are going to start off with the best sugar cookie in the world. I got the recipe from Little Miss Martha Stewart, and have made it ten million times since she gave it to me. So to start us off here is what the dough looks like in my brand spanking new kitchen aid mixer, well ok it is already off of the mixer but it is still in the bowl. More as I continue.

Hey everyone

So I guess my New Year's Resolutions haven't been going exactly as planned. Obviously I haven't been blogging weekly, so lets just revise that one and say I will blog at least monthly. I have already lost 10 lbs. For everybody's information. I am really working on that, along with the help of a God sent friend. I really think that if you can count all of your true friends on one hand then you are doing really great. Anyways, she is doing great on the diet too, she has lost 10.4 so lets give her a big round of applause. I haven't thought of a name for her on here yet, but i will keep working on it.

I have been doing major projects to my house every month. In January, Gomer and I took down all of the paneling in the kitchen and I wall papered all of it. The wall paper looks like a cream colored marble, and it looks wonderful. For February, I got a brand new refrigerator (side by side), and a brand new dishwasher. It is so nice to have a dishwasher not named Baby Gator. As for what we are going to do for March...I just don't know yet.

A little news for everyone, because I know that most people that read this blog know about the wedding being postponed. Well everything is going just great. You couldn't have told me on December 12th, that this whole situation was going to turn out to be a blessing, but OMG it has been. It's like we are brand new again and I just love it. I think everyone will be really surprised at the turn around he has made. I am ready for everyone to see the person he is becoming, and I am ready for everyone to leave the person that he was behind. I am not saying forget, because we shouldn't forget, I am just saying forgive and move forward.

Also I haven't had an anxiety attack since February 21st!!! Thank God for Lexapro. That is what the doctor put me on to control the General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and holy moly has it ever worked. now I don't give a crap what happens at work. Who cares! It is so awesome. I was worried about telling people that I was on it, because I knew they would just say that is it Gomers fault, but it isn't. Yes part of what has been wrong with me is because of what he did in the past and the decisions that he made that put me in the situation I was previously in. But that isn't the only reason. There has been lots of trouble at work....and I do mean LOTS!!!

I planted seeds in little pods on Monday, and some of them have already taken root and started to come up. It is so cool. We are going to have a garden this year and I am so excited. I am also in hopes that Gomer can get a chicken coop built sometime soon so that when we get our chickens they will have some place to live.

I just changed my template to pink. I love pink!!! My wallet in me purse is pink. The shirt I am wearing right now is pink. I want a pink cell phone, but they are like $300.

I was tired of all of the random crap in my house, so last weekend I started with the bathroom and threw away two big bags of trash, and got two big bags of stuff that I want to donate. Then I moved on to the big desk, and threw away a trash can full of stuff, and got more stuff to donate. This weekend I am going to work on the cabinets that are built into the wall of the back bedroom and the kitchen cabinets. It is so nice to have a sense of accomplishment.

I haven't actually "done" my hair in weeks. I just pull it back in a bun type hair-do. It is so easy.

My friend, the one who was previously remaining nameless, just thought of a name for herself. Little Miss Martha Stewart. It is fitting, I promise. Anyways, she and I are going to start a business together. Just as soon as she stops traveling all of the time. She and her family have had a lot going on recently, and that is why more hasn't been done already.
