Nothing Exciting Ever Happens

So I come home from school last night and as I am walking in the door, I turn to close to screen door and I see two Sheriff’s Deputies pull up into my neighbors yard. (The one across the street) They both have their lights and sirens going, and I think to myself this can’t be good. The jump out of their cars and run up to the house and one of them crouches down beside the house with his gun drawn and the other runs around the back of the house. Eventually the officer that ran behind the house goes to the front door and begins to knock on the door. No one answers. This goes on for about 15 minutes, where upon I proceed to call everyone I know because we never see action like this. After a while a DPS trooper comes down my street with no flashing lights not even headlights on and parks beside my house. I am think “Oh geez, they done got the Highway Patrol, this is about to get ugly.” (I think like a red neck too). So I am looking out the door, and I see another Sheriff’s Deputy on the other side of the house and two Canyon Police Officers blocking the street. And I am like yeah something bad is going on, and then the DPS officer comes to the door and said “Ma’am we have a man trying to commit suicide across the street we need you to shut the door.” I said ok, so I close the door. Two seconds later they knocked on the door and were like “Ma’am please turn off your porch light.” I said ok. Then they knock on the door again and said “Ma’am do you have anywhere you can go for about 30-45 minutes?” And I said yes grabbed my purse off the couch (which is by the front door) and headed to the truck. Ok, my driveway if about 10 feet from the front door, by the time I got to my truck there was an officer that was screaming “Ma’am get on the side of the house, get on the side of the house.” He apparently doesn’t know me, because in emergency situations I follow directions real well. So I go to the side of my neighbor next doors house, which is right beside the alley and my neighbors were already there. We stood there for a while, and noticed that all the streets were blocked off surrounding us, and there was an officer on the side of the house with us and he went to his police car and got his rifle. Then my neighbors left in their car that was parked on the side of the house. And I was alone, so I called my friend Blake to come get me. Cause an officer told me I had to leave, and he said that when my friend got there then he would escort me over to him, and the reason I needed to leave was because he had already fired one round and the SWAT team had been called in. I said ok, so when Blake got there the officer came to me and said ok, were gonna run to your friend ok, and I said ok. So we did, and the officer had his gun drawn while we were running, and it was so scary. I just don’t think I have ever run that fast in my entire life, it felt like I was running so slow, but I know I wasn’t because at one time I passed the officer and he yelled at me to slow down. I guess its hard to run side ways with your gun drawn trying to protect someone.
